MISSION:

The House of India is dedicated towards creating a greater awareness of India's rich and varied culture in the San Diego community. Through active participation in the events organized by the House of Pacific Relations in Balboa Park, the house will promote and showcase Indian art, history, music, dance and ethnic food. This will allow us to share the joy and spirit of Indian traditions in San Diego. The House of India will also provide an opportunity to interact with other cultures and promote universal understanding and appreciation.

VISION:

Our vision is to have an International Cottage for India in Balboa Park. The cottage will be furnished and staffed by group members that will offer visitors a delightful window into India's culture, history and traditions.

ORGANIZATION:

The House of India, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt California corporation that is member-based and governed by a board of directors. It is a member of the House of Pacific Relations, also a non-profit corporation. The House of India is supported by donations from visitors and special benefactors, and from occasional sales of ethnic food at special events within the House of Pacific Relations.
