The House of India is being set up in the Balboa Park as part of HPR (House of Pacific Relations). HPR is a non-profit community organization dedicated to further cooperation and understanding between national groups in the United States. The purpose of House of India is to foster a spirit of cooperation among its members, and to promote a better understanding of our Indian culture and traditions among the San Diego Community at large. We will have an opportunity to showcase our cultural richness, varied traditions and ethnic foods through the various events such as Open House, Lawn Programs, Ethnic Food Fair and December Nights in Balboa Park. Our long-term goal is also to build a cottage in the park. We encourage all of you to become members of House of India to see this project achieve its goals.
